This week I transferred a homebirth with a stuck placenta to Asaf Harofe. The midwives (Yehudit and Gilia) were marvelous. They were totally awware of our special needs not to be separated, and were friendly and supportive while being amazingly efficient and professional. The doctor , Dr. Winer, was cheerful, and explained everything, and the treatmnt was excellent. The midwives went the extra mile and arranged for the couple and baby to be together all night in the delivery room despite the fact that there is no all night rooming in.It is always somewhat traumatic to have to transfer to a hospital after a homebirth, but thanks to their wonderful attitude it made all the difference.I hope that other hospitals will follow .
