In this workshop, led by Gloria Lemay, you will learn to distinguish between normal parental concerns, (e.g., “Is it normal for the baby to turn bright red?”) and signs that the baby should be seen in a hospital emergency ward (e.g., “The baby isn’t feeding and seems lethargic”). It’s done as a Powerpoint presentation with lots of time allotted for questions and interactions with the teacher. You receive a comprehensive handout at the end to support what you have learned and access to a private forum that has lots of web resources and more interaction opportunities with classmates and teacher. To take the class, you sign into a website on your high-speed computer and call a toll free long distance number on your phone. It’s very user friendly.
