Big (((hugs))) from me. As a fellow nursing mom to an 8 month old baby with a horrible back, all I can do is give you my sympathy. My back cracks on me about once every month and I become immobile for 4 days or so. For me, slowing down on the nursing was a definite no no since he is totally not ready for any less than he is taking (and never is IMO, until he is weaned). Getting a stroller for my shopping has been a saver. (I have no car, and carrying the grocery bags plus my baby was one of the triggers for my back problems. Now I only carry my baby and the stroller takes care of the bags :-). Do you have a chiro near you? Also, doing some work on your stomch mascles, going for long walks on a regular basis and lots and lots of stretches might strengthen you up. For now, try propping your self up with pillows to find the most comfortable nursing position. Oh, and try to get someone in to take care of EVERYTHING else. Lots of cyber hugs from Japan Manty
