What an ovuaoltion kit shows is not ovulation itself but a surge of the LH hormone BEFORE ovulation.x Besides, from a few days after the ovum has been fertilized, hcg is secreted, and that would cause the ovulation kits to show positive, since hcg and LH are very similar.
