symphysiolysis and birth

I do not know that symphysiolysis is a reason to have a Cesarian. I have birthed naturally a few women who had this, and the only important thing was that they need to choose the birth position that is the most comfortable and least painful for their pelvis. It is important not to put extra pressure on the joint and not to open their legs too wide. The hospital usual lithotomy (on the back with the legs in stirrips) is usually the worst position for these women. They may need to stand or kneel or any other less painful position that they choose. She might want to try seeing a chiropracter or osteopath now. After birth she may need extra rest and even immobilization, but it goes away. A uterine scar from a Cesarian stays forever and affects her future childbearing. She will have the pain of surgery to deal with also, and the possible complications from surgery.
