Hi, From my experience, as long as the Hemoglobiin in over 10, then it is OK to birth. However, if you have a big bleed, then you will feel worse after birth than if your hemoglobin was l2. Most women are between 10-11.5. Under 10, you might need blood if you bleed more than normal. Nettle tea, Yellow Dock Root tincture, and throwing some big iron nails with lots of rust in your cooking pots, or cooking with an iron pot can add lots of iron. Make sure they are big nails so you don't swallow them by mistake! Also brocoli sprouts have lots of iron, and you can get them in the supermarket near the other beansprouts, produced by Nevtai Ayalon.Remember that it is normal and healthy to lower your hemoglobin in pregnancy as your blood volume increases and there is a "dilution" and this is the way it is supposed to be. Usually if the hemoglobin is normal at the very beginning of the pregnancy, it will be fine with a healthy diet.
